This is the most comfortable shoe. You feel like you are walking on a mushroom. I have hip problems, but when wearing this Dansko Women's Surraya Sandal shoe, I am almost pain free.

The majority of shoes I buy are made by Dansko. They are very comfortable and stylish, especially for someone who has a problem with pronation of the feet (flat feet). Dansko shoes are highly recommended by my podiatrist. I will buy one for my mum as a gift.

I received the toffee patent leather Surraya. From the moment I placed them on my feet, they felt wonderful. No need to break them in and the foot bed is comfy! I am able to wear them to school and walk to each of my classes (each class is at least 4 -6 blocks apart on campus) while pulling my rolling backpack. The color is neutral while still different from most shoes of patent leather. I may consider buying another pair in red or black.

I love these Danskos with my whole heart! I have worn Dansko clogs for more than 10 years and have never tried the sandals because I just didn't believe they'd be as comfortable as the original. I broke down and bought the Surrayas knowing we were going to NYC and I need a comfortable/cute pair of walking shoes that I could dress up or down.
When they first arrived, the right shoe fit perfect - it was not tight on the toes or on the top strap (as I had read in reviews). The left shoe felt great except for the strap over the top (straps over the toes were fine, no pinching, rubbing, etc.). So I wore them around the house for more than a day and the left shoe stretched to the perfect fit. The top strap has an elastic adjuster that I think helped. I've now been wearing these shoes for about a week straight, 12 hours a day and love, love, love them! I happened to get them at a great sale price and I am considering buying a the red patent pair too! Very cute, comfortable shoe.
Regarding size, I have always worn a 39 in Danskos shoes, which is consistent with purchasing a half size up. My normal shoe size is an 8. Hope this review is help you to make decision.
